Visual search uses features learned from a deep neural network to develop efficient and scalable methods for image retrieval. The goal of visual search is to perform content-based retrieval of images for image recognition online applications. Beyond simply recognising a human face through facial recognition, these machine learning image recognition algorithms are also capable of generating new, synthetic digital images of human faces called deep fakes.
